ABOUT MOUNJARO®
What Is Mounjaro®?
Mounjaro® contains the active ingredient tirzepatide, a prescription medicine administered by subcutaneous injection.
Tirzepatide acts on both glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) and glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptors. These pathways are involved in physiological processes related to appetite, satiety, gastric emptying and blood glucose regulation.
For weight management, a doctor will assess whether Mounjaro® may be suitable based on the individual’s health status, body mass index, medical history, current medications and weight management goals.
Important Notice: Mounjaro® is not a general health supplement. It must only be used following medical assessment and prescription.
HOW IT WORKS
Dual GIP and GLP-1 Receptor Action
Tirzepatide mimics signals associated with naturally occurring gut hormones, supporting several physiological processes involved in appetite, satiety and metabolic health management.
01
Supports Appetite Regulation
By acting on physiological signals associated with satiety, some individuals may find it easier to manage appetite and portion sizes.
02
Slows Gastric Emptying
Food may leave the stomach more slowly, which may help prolong the feeling of fullness after meals.
03
Supports Blood Glucose Regulation
Its effects are associated with insulin and glucagon-related pathways. Individual suitability must be assessed by a doctor based on medical history.
04
Complements a Comprehensive Weight Management Plan
When combined with medical monitoring, nutritional guidance and lifestyle management, it may form part of a comprehensive weight management programme.
PROGRAMME FEATURES

Individual responses and outcomes may vary and can be influenced by several factors, including health status, lifestyle, diet and adherence to the management plan.

02
Once-Weekly Administration
It is generally administered by subcutaneous injection once a week, as directed by a doctor, helping to establish a clear and consistent schedule.
03
Personalised Adjustments
A doctor will review the individual’s response, tolerance and health needs to determine whether any adjustments to the management plan are required.
04
